The Albany Fund for Education (AFE) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that raises funds for innovative programs in support of the Albany City School District. AFE funding gives students, teachers and community members opportunities to work together to enhance the educational experience for all students in the Albany School District. Started by concerned individuals in 1998, AFE fosters innovative community-school partnerships, accepts contributions throughout the year and holds an annual gala each fall as its major fundraiser.
